Trojan.FakeAV, classified as a dangerous Trojan horse, is a technically non-self-replicating malware containing malicious code that can infect your computer without your knowledge. It comes into the computer via many ways, for instance, from spam emails that contain attachments, or malicious websites that are spammed with links to adult video. If you have ever opened any malicious emails or websites, then your computer will easily get infected with this virus.
Generally this Trojan.FakeAV is used to distribute malware or fake antivirus programs. It often presents itself as a useful, routine or interesting program in order to persuade you to download and install it on your computer. After it is downloaded, this virus will drop several malicious files and create a couple of folders under Application Data folder. When executed, its server can have the unauthorized access to your computer and is able to spy on the infected computer, cause leak or theft of data, download and install rogue programs. Even worse, your computer may appear to run slower or cause a system crash due to heavy processor. Thus, the removal becomes so urgent.
