What Is RocketTab?

RocketTab, also known as Rockettab.com, is a potentially unwanted browser application. This browser add-on pretends to be a useful browser which will provide you with the best, fastest and most comprehensive local search experience possible for the purpose of attracting you to download it. However, it can infect your browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Once downloaded and installed, this RocketTab will be able to change your browser settings and add extension and toolbar on it. As a result, your browser default homepage will be changed to Rockettab.com and your default search engine will be replaced by RocketTab. Moreover, this browser extension will record your online activities. From then on, it will display numerous advertisements according to your browsing history via the form of pop-up windows as long as you search a web. If you are attracted by some of the ads and click on them, you will be directed to the websites where you will never want to visit or download other malware and worms. Then your important files may be threatened by a ransomware or other virus. In addition, its running extension will take up your system resources and slow down your computer speed. Though this RocketTab offers a method to uninstall it, you will find that the method does not work yet when you try to uninstall it. How do I uninstall RocketTab?

Manual Removal Guide:

Step 1. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or Press the Start button > type "Run" to select the option > type "taskmgr" and press OK > end RocketTab running process.

Step 2. Click Start button> Control Panel > Uninstall a program > uninstall RocketTab.

Step 3.  Reset your browsers to clear your internet history records, internet temp files and cookies.

Internet Explorer
1) Open Internet Explorer, click the Gear icon or Tools > Internet options. 
2) Go to the Advanced tab, click the Reset button > Reset Internet Explorer settings > Delete personal settings > click on Reset option. 
3) Click Close and OK to save the changes.

Google Chrome
1) Click the Chrome menu button, select Tools > Extensions, find unknown extension and remove them by clicking Recycle bin. 
2) Click Settings > Show Advanced settings > Reset browser settings and click Reset.


Mozilla Firefox
1) Open Mozilla Firefox, go to the Help section > Troubleshooting Information. 
2) Select Reset Firefox and click Finish.
